Our Passion for Shared Experiences
At Ducks, Tomatoes, and Us, we are passionate about writing and fostering community for Spiritual Directors. Through storytelling, we deepen spiritual direction and strengthen our connections. Our website, Shared Tomatoes, was created to promote this vital part of our journey.
Writing is more than a creative act—it is a spiritual discipline that fosters reflection, clarity, and connection. Like journaling, it reveals the movement of the Spirit in our lives and those we guide.
Storytelling transforms experiences into wisdom, offering mutual support and inspiration. It honors the subtle work of the Spirit, encourages vulnerability, and sharpens our ability to listen attentively. As a contemplative practice, writing mirrors spiritual direction, requiring patience, reflection, and attentiveness to God.
Our blog, It All Started With Ducks and Tomatoes, explores how spiritual directors can build stronger communities. What unique gifts can we share to nurture personal and collective growth? What simple acts of goodwill strengthen our sense of “us”?
As wisdom leaders, we are called to share our insights with one another. Take time in prayer to write your stories—you may uncover a voice you never knew you had.
